DEVILOOF are set to release new digital single "Inshu (因習)" on January 29th, 2025! marking their first new creation in a year as they charge into their milestone 10th anniversary.
This eagerly awaited opus draws inspiration from the sinister "innate wickedness culture" found in traditional Japanese village horror tales.
The band has poured a year of effort into crafting this masterpiece, featuring the most technically challenging performances in their history.
In a new experimental approach, the band has incorporated female chorus to enhance the horror atmosphere. The haunting falsetto vocals, which will leave a lasting impression upon first listen, are performed by Sennzai, a singer renowned for her contributions to popular game music and as a vocal artist. Her own releases have surpassed 25 million streams.
The jacket artwork features Yukihisa Tamura, who received the Vanilla Award at the 3rd Vanilla Gallery Awards Exhibition.
Tamura is known for his expertise in gory expression. This award, organized by Vanilla Gallery in Tokyo, Japan, recognizes unique and challenging works of art. The jacket, entirely hand-painted with acrylic paint, interprets the lyrics by Katsusuke and faithfully recreates gruesome and bloody depictions.
This artwork stands apart from digitally created works, showcasing Tamura's extraordinary artistic prowess.
In addition, a music video has been produced, and it is said to be the most extreme feature celebrating DEVILOOF's 10th anniversary activities, raising anticipation for their future developments.
