Japanese Metallers PHANTOM EXCALIVER released a new single "KINGDOM" on November 11th, ahead of their upcoming 3rd full-length album "THE RISING KINGDOM", to be released December 4th, 2024!
The band have found overseas success in recent years in Europe, playing the likes of the "Wacken Open Air" metal festival in Germany.

Three-piece Japanese Industrial Rock band: NUL. released their 3rd full-length album "AVA". digitally on October 17th, and on CD October 25th, 2024!
NUL. are ex-D’espairsRay vocalist HIZUMI, programmer and producer Toshiyuki Kishi (abingdon boys school, etc.) and guitarist MASATO (defspiral), formed the new band in March of 2019!
With AVA, the three bandmates have toned down the industrial aspects of their sound in favor of its rock and metal features, creating a hard-hitting release that reflects the theme of aggression and destruction. This album is a testament to NUL.’s evolution and growth, a journey that the audience has been a part of.
HIZUMI said: "Five years have passed since our formation, and I believe that the creation of the record AVA has further expanded our potential. Please look forward to the continued evolution of NUL."

Independent Japanese electronic rock/metal band Esprit D'Air released 2 new albums! 'Live in Barcelona' and 'Seasons'!! Both were released November 8, 2024!
Esprit D'Air said about the new albums:
'Seasons', contains classic covers that inspired the band, reworks and remixes of tracks. Kai said the album represents an era of Esprit D'Air between 2010-2013. New single "Aire," was also originally written in 2011!
'Live in Barcelona' is a live album recorded during Esprit D'Air sold-out European tour while performing some of the band's most beloved tracks.
*Esprit D'Air is the solo project led by vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Kai.

Japanese girls rock band TRiDENT released their 2nd full album “DUX”, on November 6th, 2024!
The album is largely made up of the bands previous single releases - but it’s great to finally have these all in one place.
The band also released at the same time the album dropped, a music video for the song “-Haha!”. TRiDENT have credited a number of musicians for the song including music & lyrics by ASAKA, arranged by 堀江晶太 @kemu8888 (X) and 三代 @sandai324 (X) 三代/324/みつよ

Japanese metallers NEMOPHILA released their new music video for the song “Beautiful days”, on November 6th, 2024!
Although a fantastic metal ballad and just wonderful song, unfortunately, for those that purchased the CD version early, an issue was reported with the recording order! An apology for the defects in the recording was issued by the band, with an exchange programme in place with the corrected recording order on offer.
We saw something similar with the release of Hazuki new album “MAKE UP ØVERKILL”! Which makes us question what is currently happing with the usually impeccable Japanese standards?

lynch. vocalist Hazuki released their new album “MAKE UP ØVERKILL” through their solo project, October 23rd, 2024!
“MAKE UP ØVERKILL” has 12 fantastic songs, including the popular singles "Tokyo Psyche" and "Moonlight Slave" among the tracks, and is a great album!! Unfortunately, the release didn’t go so smoothly, with a number of issues reported.
An apology was issued soon after the release on Hazuki website to fans who’d purchased the album by downloading the tracks. An incorrect audio source of the album was being distributed on various music distribution services - but the problem was quickly corrected.
Although there were no audio issues with physical CDs, there was an error in the lyrics of the booklet. A new version was being offered as a replacement.

BABYMETAL first-ever Arena Tour of Europe.
Global metal sensation BABYMETAL announce their first-ever Arena Tour of Europe, set to kick off in May 2025.
The posts on the bands website also said the tour will include new songs. If that means we have a new upcoming album in 2025 before the tour, or just a new setlist with songs not often played, we will have to wait and see next year!

In a statement on the bands website and posted across their Social Media:
"Important Notice: 2024/09/15 (Sun)
Thank you for your continued support of DEVILOOF.
As of August 31st, AiSaku has left the band.
We are very sorry for this sudden announcement to all the fans who support DEVILOOF and all those involved.
The reason for this decision is differences in the direction we should take and differences in how we think about the band.
Although each of them will be walking different paths, we ask for your continued support for AiSaku and DEVILOOF in the future.
Regarding the future structure of DEVILOOF, we will continue as a four-person group."

Legendary Japanese band GLAY released its new song "Kaishin no ichigeki," serving as the main theme to the ongoing TV anime "Grendizer U."
The jacket artwork for the release has also been revealed.
The beloved series "UFO Robot Grendizer," originally created by the authoer Go Nagai, has been revived in 2024 as a new TV anime series titled "Grendizer U."
This new adaptation boasts a stellar team behind the scenes, including Mitsuo Fukuda ("Mobile Suit Gundam SEED") as chief director, Ichiro Okouchi ("CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion") as series composer, and Yoshiyuki Sadamoto ("Neon Genesis Evangelion") as character designer.
The jacket artwork, created by the “Grendizer U” animation team, beautifully captures the essence of the song.

Legendary Japanese rockers X JAPAN have released more material available to stream on Spotify. The collection also includes a number of Live albums!
For a number of countries X Japan had only a limited amount of albums and singles available. It's great to now be able to have access to such a wonderful back catalog of great music from the band.
